A "Great Conversation" Between Dean Atwood and Hernando DeSoto

Dean J. Brian Atwood will take part in the "Great Conversations" series on Tuesday, May 18, at 7:30 pm at the Ted Mann Concert Hall. Atwood will be joined by Peruvian economist Hernando de Soto, who is internationally known for his work on the informal economy and the importance of property rights. Praised by President Clinton as "the world's greatest living economist" and named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Forbes magazine, de Soto is the President of Peru's Institute for Liberty and Democracy located in Lima.

Tickets for this event are $28.50 (or $23.50 for University of Minnesota faculty, staff, and students, as well as the University of Minnesota Alumni Association, Presidents Club, MinnPost.com, and Minnesota Public Radio members). You may order tickets by calling 612-624-2345.
