NEWS: Democrats Envision Working Control Of the Senate

Senior Fellow Vin Weber is quoted in this story about party control of the Congress.

The House is likely to stay in Democratic control. Democrats currently have a 231-198 edge, with six vacancies, meaning Republicans need to win 16 seats to regain control. More than two dozen Republicans have decided to retire, compared with only five Democrats.

"We've got to get on the ball and raise some money," said Republican lobbyist Vin Weber, a former congressman from Minnesota. He warned that a "minority-party mind-set" appears to be taking root among rank-and-file Republicans.
