Humphrey Institute Celebrates Historic Youth Turnout in State, National Elections

Minneapolis, MN (10/31/08) – Historically, Minnesota has one of the highest voter participation rates in the country, even among 18- to 24-year-olds, the so-called “youth vote.? To celebrate this fact and encourage same-day registration among University students, the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs will host an Election Day cookie give away from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on November 4.

Humphrey Institute Dean Brian Atwood will kick-off the reception at 11 a.m. in the atrium of the Humphrey Center at 301 19th Ave S., Minneapolis. “I voted? cookies will and refreshments will be available until 1 p.m. or while they last.
