Student activists contemplate Obama's win

Humphrey Institute student Abdul Omari joins 150 university and high school students of color for a conference on student activism.

Abdul Omari, a first-year student at the University of Minnesota's Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, made a promise to himself after seeing Barack Obama elected president. "I always say that I'm going to get a Ph.D., but I wrote it down on Tuesday," he said. "I had to rewrite my goals. I wasn't shooting high enough."
