The Center for Democracy and Citizenship's Warrior to Citizen Campaign hosted a discussioon about storytelling as a way for military veterans to explore their experiences and begin the healing process.
Father Michael Lapsley, who lost both hands and an eye after opening a letter bomb during his involvement in the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa, went on to found the Institute for the Healing of Memories in Cape Town and travels internationally training facilitators and leading workshops for people who have experienced different kinds of violence.
