Merrie Benasutti of the Humphrey Institute's Cedar Humphrey Actions for Neighborhood Collaborative Engagement (CHANCE) comments on misconceptions of the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood based on media coverage.
"Our safety issues are perceived to be much worse than they really are," Benasutti said. "The towers [Riverside Plaza ] are referred to as, 'crack stacks' or, 'ghetto in the sky.'"
