Humphrey Institute study shows in quarter three of this year, Congressman Tim Walz raised eighty three percent of his big donor contributions from Minnesotans, rather than taking out of state money.
Political Science Professor Joe Kunkel says those in state donations may help his campaign. Kunkel says, "It's generally a good thing for somebody to get a high percentage of their donations from within their own district, then it's not a campaign issue that somebody can use against you in the future and say he's getting so much of his money from California or New York or some other place, he's representing them not us."
