Greg Lindsey, professor and associate dean of the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota, studied the effects of the Monon Trail when he worked in Indianapolis. One conclusion of that study, he said, was that proximity to the trail raised property values when all other variables were taken into account. "There was a premium in proximity to the Monon."
