The Center for Science, Technology, and Public Policy hosts an event on the changing arctic with the Will Steger Foundation and the University's Institute on the Environment.

Steger and Loken say the changes taking place in the Arctic are relevant in Minnesota, where there's a rich tradition of polar exploration, as well as Arctic scientific and educational work. They say they see the event as the beginning of a dialogue and a springboard for new ideas, partnerships and opportunities involving Minnesotans, Canadians and the Arctic.
