Laura Bloomberg adds to discussion of the timing of policies addressing LGBT issues and other "polarizing" topics.

To propose a policy on controversial topics to replace one on sexual orientation is troubling, said Laura Bloomberg, director of the University of Minnesota's Center for Integrated Leadership. "To me, that suggests sexual orientation is controversial, and already that creates, in my opinion, a hostile environment for (LGBT) kids," she said.
