Eric Ostermeier adds to discussion of Catholic presidential nominees.

Just now, reading the as-usual fine work of Eric Ostermeier of the SmartPolitics blog, I happened to stumble on a June post, based on the Santorum candidacy, in which he examined the success of Catholics in presidential nomination politics in both major parties. So, if you like hard presidential trivia, ask yourself this one: How many Catholics have ever been nominated by either major party for president?
