Frank Douma discusses how computer intelligence in cars could improve efficiency on the road.
"People have been thinking about this for a while," said Frank Douma, a transportation expert at the University of Minnesota who is speaking at the conference. "There's an idea that you can make the highway system more efficient if you can pack the road with the maximum number of cars, traveling as close together as possible, at a constant speed.
