Jim Oberstar will be the guest speaker at the Society's Annual Meeting.
Executive Director JoAnne Coombe says the Society is proud to feature exhibits that have gained national attention. "When Eastman Johnson visited the Head of the Lakes in 1856-57, he recorded the Ojibwe people who were here at the time. So, we are proud to be the custodians of that collection," said Coombe. In celebration of the anniversary, former U.S. Representative Jim Oberstar plans to speak at the Annual Meeting on transportation history at The Depot on March 27th.
