Humphrey School's commencement will feature executive director of Amnesty International.

Nossel became of executive director at Amnesty International USA in January of 2012. Before that, she worked for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for international organizations, and was responsible for multilateral human rights, humanitarian affairs, women's issues, public diplomacy, press, and Congressional relations. Prior to service in the Obama Administration, Nossel was chief operating officer for Human Rights Watch, where she spearheaded the plan for the global expansion of the organization.
