How businesses learned to stop worrying and love government
Art Rolnick argues for government to spend money on "what they understand" in order to improve the economy.
The argument I continually hear from him is that government officials are uninformed when it comes to understanding how businesses succeed. They dole out money to companies for reasons that make no financial sense, or worse, because of cronyism. If government officials want to spend money to improve the economy, they should spend it on what they understand: education, crime-fighting, transportation and parks. Basically, they should improve quality of life.
