Art Rolnick addresses how investment in early childhood education could lead to a more robust Minnesota economy.
Minnesota "poured money into education" in the 1950s, Rolnick said, before the state began its run as a national leader. He notes the correlation of skills and education with higher-paying jobs, and concern that young people in poverty "start behind in school and don't catch up." They too often end up with sub-par jobs, he said.
