Asylum seekers deserve better from America: Opinion

Eric Schwartz writes about the need for better treatment for asylum seekers. Schwartz is the dean of the Humphrey School of Public Affairs and also serves as commissioner for the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom.

While our asylum laws are designed to welcome those who seek safe haven, many find themselves confronted by a system that treats them like criminals.
