NSF grant awarded

Sarah Hobbie, Kristen Nelson and Jeannine Cavender-Bares have been awarded a grant from the National Science Foundation Macrosystems Biology program to test the hypothesis that urbanization throughout the United States has led to a homogenization of ecological structure and function in cities compared to surrounding regions. Their work is part of a larger, multi-institution collaboration led by Peter Groffman at the Carey Institute of Ecosystem Studies.

Dr. Cinzia Fissore to teach at Whittier College

Dr. Cinzia Fissore, who has been a post-doc with TCHEP, starts a new position as an Assistant Professor at Whittier College, in Los Angeles, California. Congratulations, Cinzia!

Sarah Hobbie will be presenting TCHEP research at the 2011 Ecological Society of America meeting in Austin, Texas, in August.
