Larry Baker is attending the first annual workshop for a new NSF-RCN project "Sustainable Cities - People, Infrastructures and the Energy-Climate-Water Nexus" August 16-19 in Estes Park, Co. He is a co-PI on the project, which is led by Anu Ramaswami (University of Colorado- Denver) Other co-PIs are Larry Bank (City College New York), Marian Chertow (Yale), andPaty Lankao (National Center for Atmospheric Research).

Larry Baker was invited to a UNESCO workshop "Urban Futures: Reflections Post Rio +20" in Paris, June 23-28. He will present two short talks, one on urban drought resilience and a second (co-authored by post-doc Heidi Peterson) on "upstream" flows of phosphorus from farms to cities.
