Minnesota Population Center: 1940 Census Database Project

Prompted by the release of 1940 U.S. census data, the Star Tribune recently featured a front-page article about the Minnesota Population Center, highlighting the historical focus MPC's work and its plans for the 1940 census data.

From the Star Tribune article, "The Population Center is working with the genealogy website Ancestry.com to make the 1940 census accessible to the public by digitizing records so they are searchable."

In addition to the front-page story, MPC's work was referenced in the Star Tribune's lead editorial on the 1940 census
