The University Honors Student Association (UHSA) is now accepting applications for positions on the 2011-2012 Executive Board.
Members of the Executive Board work in close collaboration with the University Honors Program (UHP) to develop strategies and plan events to:
- create a sense of community among honors students
- build a more cohesive and comprehensive college experience for honors students
- serve as a liaison between honors students and the University Honors Program

Eligibility for UHSA Executive Board positions is dependent on meeting all academic requirements of the University Honors Program, as well as the ability to commit to attending weekly board meetings and complete a term of one year.
Manage all activities of the executive board, develop and refine long-term UHSA goals, and coordinate collaboration with the University Honors Program office.
Assist the University Honors Program in the development and execution of the Honors Mentor Program. Oversee UHSA election process and financials. Support the President in his/her duties.
Work with the University Honors Program to plan academic events for students. Act as representative of the honors students body at regular UHP meetings. Provide student feedback to UHP regarding academic portions of the honors program.
Plan social events for honors students throughout the academic year, including the freshman welcome picnic and the spring formal.
Community Engagement Chair:
Plan and execute community engagement and service events for honors students. Work with UHP to develop connections between honors students and the Twin Cities professional community.
Coordinate with the UHP office to maintain the UHSA portion of the honors program website, and contribute to the honors Facebook and Twitter accounts. Lead the development of posters and invitations for honors events.
Contribute to the planning and execution of events. Lead other UHSA initiatives as assigned. (multiple positions available)
