Clinton propses $5,000 baby bond

Hilary Clinton proposed $5,000 baby bond for every baby born in the U.S to grow until they are 18 and can use the money towards college or a down payment on a home. The Star Tribune reports: "Clinton said such an account program would help people get back to the tradition of savings that she remembers as a child, and has become harder to accomplish in the face of rising college and housing costs. " According to NYT, Clinton did not make an estimate the cost of this program or how it would be financed. Also, 4 million babies are born in the U.S every year.
