A Merry "Bach" Christmas!

"A Bach Christmas: Every Note, Night and Day"
IBBC Radio 3 is broadcasting the complete works of Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) continuously over a ten day period ending Christmas Day with a performance of the Christmas Oratorio (BWV248). The special webpage for the Bach celebration features a Bach Christmas calendar, Bach A to Z, trivia contests (including "spot the fake" composition!), a place to create Bach cards with sound clips, a Bach blog, index to Bach's works, notes and translations, the master broadcast schedule, and more! Most programs are available for listening one week after broadcast.

New Accompanying Materials Procedure Posted
A new version of the procedures for cataloging and processing books and scores with accompanying materials for the Music Library has been posted to the TS Web Special Formats page. These procedures should be used when any book or score has accompanying audio discs, CD-ROMs, DVDs, etc.

RDA Part I Draft Available!
This announcement about Resource Description and Access (RDA) appeared on AUTOCAT this morning:
The Joint Steering Committee for Revision of AACR (JSC) is pleased to
announce that the draft of RDA part I has been made available for comment.
Please see the following Web page for the draft and details on making
comments.
This page also contains links to a number of new and revised documents
mentioned in the cover letter to the draft.
The JSC is aware of the high level of interest in RDA amongst resource
description communities, and so has set up an open RDA discussion list for
issues related to the development of RDA.
