A man died Saturday by jumping off a freeway overpass trying to flee from police after a fight outside a nightclub.
Jason Yang, 29, died around 2 a.m. Saturday after he jumped off an Interstate 394 off-ramp while trying to flee from police after a fight that police said he started at Epic nightclub at 110 N. 5th St., the Star Tribune said.
Yang jumped off the off-ramp and fell several stories to a parking lot beneath, the Pioneer Press said.
After the fight broke out, Yang ran into a parking ramp and out the door before leaping off the off-ramp, the Star Tribune said.
Yang was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics and five police officers involved have been issued a three day leave due to traumatic circumstances, the Pioneer Press said.
