Residents Abroad Evening Event May 2011

One of the components of successful completion of an international elective in the Pediatric Global Health Track is to present experiences and an academic project to a peer group. This year's presentations will be in two sessions, the first of which occurred at a special evening event at a faculty home. The event was informative and well attended by both faculty and junior residents who are in the process of deciding where they will travel on their own upcoming elective months.

John Heimerl presents on his experiences in Zambia with Tiny Tim and Friends.

Dan Schnobrich presents about his experiences in Moshi, Tanzania, where he worked closely with Helmut Diefenthal, MD, in radiology.

Matt Fitzpatrick had an international experience at TASH, the university hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and had the opportunity to spend time also at Sipara Women and Children's Care Center.

Presenting on the Jalapa, Nicaragua, experience were Johannah Scheurer and Annie Shaw.
