The Division of Global Pediatrics was founded at the University of Minnesota in 2005, and was the first Division in a department of Pediatrics in the US devoted exclusively to global child health. We seek to improve the health of underserved children in or from low-income countries through translational research, medical education, clinical care and advocacy. The Division of Global Pediatrics features cutting-edge global child health research programs in Kenya, Uganda and Nigeria; a nationally recognized, competency-based Pediatric Global Health Track; outstanding education in immigrant and refugee child health; and a pioneering International Adoption Clinic.
