Global Peds Track Alumni Poster Presentation

Former Pediatric Global Health Tracker Sarah Atuna-Jay, M.D., was awarded both the Faculty/Alumni Choice Outstanding Poster and the Student Choice Outstanding Poster in the MPH/MHA degree category at the UMN School of Public Health Research Day in April, for her poster "DIFFERENCES IN MATERNAL CARE IN RURAL GHANA: BY TYPE OF ANTENATAL PROVIDER". She presented same at the 25th Annual Pediatric Research, Education and Scholarship Symposium (PRESS), sponsored by University of Minnesota Department of Pediatrics.

Physician in Haiti

Pediatric Global Health Track alumnus Jen Halvorsen was featured by Minnesota Public Radio on Jan 22, 2010, for her efforts in providing medical assistance to injured Haitians. We are proud to know that the training she received in global health during her residency has proved useful to the children of Haiti. You can read the full story here.
