Event: Reunion June 25, 2010

This evening, 27 students from the 2008, 2009, and 2010 field studies to Greece and Cyprus gathered at It's Greek to Me in Minneapolis for a reunion. It was wonderful to see everyone again, hear news and reminisce. It was especially exciting to hear news of recent graduates many of whom are beginning new academic adventures including graduate school at City University of New York, University of Minnesota, new positions and adventures including the Engineering Ministries International (EMI) and Architects without Borders. Of course, not everyone could make the reunion and they were missed! Some have moved away from Minnesota to attend graduate school in Arizona, Missouri, and (soon) Michigan. Over the years, three of our former students have gotten married, and in the last few weeks, one of the 2010 trekkers got engaged! Congratulations and best wishes. I feel so happy to have gotten to travel with these students, and it was so nice to see many of them again. I look forward to staying in touch and hearing news about new adventures. One student, Jenna, had a wonderful suggestion to collect "favorite experiences" from the students who attended. Keep a look out for this list in the next few days!
