Peter Joseph Gloviczki's first full-length collection is Kicking Gravity (Salmon Poetry, 2013). He recently
completed his PhD in mass communication at the
University of Minnesota. Gloviczki's poems have appeared in The Christian Science Monitor, Hayden's Ferry Review, New Orleans Review, 32 Poems, and elsewhere.

The 2013 Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival launches April 11, just days from now! This year they are honored to present a number of films from Eastern Europe. The Festival will screen some 200 international independent feature length and short films representing over 60 countries in an array of new and returning programs and will feature visits from prominent international filmmakers and celebrities and a host of galas, events, parties, and panel discussions.

Zedashe Tapestry Ensemble coming to the Twin Cities

A group of eleven singers, dancers and musicians from the Zedashe Ensemble will be coming to the Twin Cities during the first week in April. Over the course of four days they will be giving two concerts, two dance workshops , and a music workshop (choice of singing or instrumental music); the workshops will be at Tapestry Folkdance Center. This will be a rare, if not unique, opportunity to see folklore from this region of the world performed by natives.
