CELEBRATING THE BEST OF INTERNATIONAL AND INDEPENDENT FILM!

Set for April 14 - May 5, 2011

(Minneapolis, Minn.) The Film Society of Minneapolis-St. Paul has announced that the 2011 Minneapolis-St. Paul International Film Festival is slated for April 14 through May 5 - presenting over 170 films from some 50 countries at the five-screen St. Anthony Main Theatre. For three weeks, the Twin Cities celebrates the arrival of the best of international and independent filmmaking in the region.

The program will cover: The History of Czech immigration to Steele County, Minnesota, highlighting where the immigrants came from, the organizations they established, and the records available for those researching family history.

Battlefield ethics is among the hardest issue any legal system confronts because the starting point is that there are situations in which you can kill innocent people on the battlefield. Michael Broyde explores when, if, and how people may be killed in the course of battle in the Jewish tradition. This issue has implications both for the Israeli military and for Jewish soldiers outside of Israel.
