You are invited to attend the inaugural meeting of the Romanian Genealogical Society in Room 218 of the Minnesota Genealogical Society on Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 1 to 4 p.m.
After a talk by Vicki Albu on "Early Romanian Immigration to the Twin Cities," members are invited to discuss their Romanian heritage and the genealogical research challenges they face. Bring old photos if you have them. We will elect officers, brainstorm activities, and plan a meeting calendar for 2012. If you have any questions or to sign up for a mailing list, please contact Vicki Young Albu by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have Romanian ancestors or if you are interested in sharing and learning about Romanian family history research, you will want to become a member of the Romanian Genealogical Society. We plan to have a quarterly newsletter and 3-4 meetings per year. In the future we hope to also have a web site and a library collection.
