Exhibit at the IHRC Archives: The Papers of Alexander Granovsky.

The Immigration History Research Center Archives is hosting an exhibit of selections from the papers of Professor Granovsky, which reflect his lifelong work with Ukrainians in the United States and the diaspora. During his life, Granovsky worked tirelessly to further knowledge of Ukrainian culture and heritage, and his collection provides a wealth of information to today's researchers.

Location: Andersen Library, hallway exhibit case outside of Andersen 311. Dates: June 11, 2014 - August 31, 2014

Paivi Hoikkala - "Finnish Immigrant Women in the Labor Movement"

On Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at 12 p.m. in conference room 308 of the Andersen Library, visiting researcher Paivi Hoikkala from California State Polytechnic University - Pomona will present her research-in-progress talk. Dr. Hoikkala is one of the Grant-in-aid award recipients for 2013-2014. Free and open to the public.

Laura Ciglioni presents her research project

One of this year's recipients of the Grant-in-Aid awards given by the IHRC Archives, Dr. Laura Ciglioni, Professor of Italian Culture for the University Studies Abroad Consortium at the Università degli Studi della Tuscia, in Viterbo - Italy, will present her research-in- progress talk "Across the Atlantic. The image of Italy in the USA in the early Sixties," on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at 12 p.m. in conference room 308 of the Andersen Library. Free and open to the public.

IHRC Archives - limited services June 12-13

On Thursday, June 12, 2014, and on Friday, June 13, 2014, IHRC Archives will have limited services available to researchers, especially walk-in visitors. The reading will remain open for researchers who currently have their materials there. Regular hours will resume on Monday, June 16. Apologies for any inconvenience.
