Portage Interactive's studios

Nora Paul visits Portage Interactive's Studies

INMS Director Nora Paul and Humanities Institute Interim Director Robert Gambone went on a field trip to Portage Interactive's studios in the Warehouse district. Portage, whose director came from the company that made the popular learning game, Oregon Trail, focuses on educational game development. An interesting discussion was held on the potential of these types of games for K-12 education, particularly in the study of history. The INMS and the Humanities Institute will be working together to develop ideas about projects that can be submitted for funding.
