Emerging Digerati Week: Call for Participation

Participate in this spring's Emerging Digerati week.

This spring the Institute for New Media Studies will host a very special Emerging Digerati event. On Monday, March 31st to Friday, April 4th we will hold a week-long showcase of innovative new media projects from across the university. On Monday through Thursday evenings we'll feature open house events at several research labs on campus at which the university community and the public can learn about immersive digital environments and their many applications.

Friday afternoon will feature exhibits and presentations from new media innovators at the U and beyond.

We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to show off your work. The Friday (April 4th) event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Weisman Art Museum on the University of Minnesota campus.

There are two ways you can participate: a demonstration or display that visitors can view or interact with, and / or a short (10 - 15 minute) presentation of your current or past new media work. Participation on both levels is encouraged. You can present new work, past work, or a combination of both.

If you are interested in participating, please RSVP to Aaron Westre (westr015@umn.edu) by March 7th. Please include your current contact information and a description of the presentation and/or display you are considering. Thank you for your support of Emerging Digerati.
