3D photos, 360 degree video, immersive audio, webcams. These audio and visual techniques are not (with the exception of webcams, perhaps) in the mainstream of online usage. But as broadband access rises and cost of the tools to create these packages decreases, these will be viable options to add to the media array. On July 12-13, an assortment of journalists, AV specialists, and digital artists gathered to show and discuss a variety of new ways to show and tell stories online. Inherent issues, ethical considerations, and barriers to application of these techniques were discussed.
