Dr. Josephine Lee, of the Asian American Studies Program (and the U's English department) has been recognized for her commitment to excellence in teaching.

Lee, who will be teaching an Asian American literature and drama course next semester (AAS 4311), is credited with being a founding member of our Asian American Studies Program.

"Jo captures the very best of what graduate education should be," a student told the U's Alumni Association. "She is a gifted scholar, the staunchest of supporters, and the wisest of leaders. Her students are lucky to have her and she is a model for what I hope to achieve in my own career."
