While considering colleges, the cost of tuition and living expense is an area that matters as important as the others. So, "how much" does it cost to study in University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus? I'll take you to our Costs & Tuition website and share some experience of living expense with you today. :)
Costs & Tuition
On the University's Costs & tuition website, you can see a clear list of tuition fee depending on the program you are enrolled in just by choosing the relative category. You can also change the Time and Residency to see the differences. On the left column, the Financial Aid and Money Management can help you know better about the opportunity to save money. Scholarships information can be found here to help you find the numerous opportunities.
Living Expense
For college students, the biggest living expense is dining and housing. Following the above links, you can find information about on campus dining and housing costs. But, if you planned to save some money, as most students do, you could choose to live off campus and cook or eat at your preferred restaurants.
Housing
The costs of off-campus housing varies a lot. Because it depends on both the location and the condition of it. The District on Delaware, University Commons and Grandmarc are a couple modern apartments on Minneapolis campus. Of course, there are other housing places available too. Craigslist is a classified website that can help you find a large amount of off-campus housing costs information.
Dining
There are many restaurants around campus which offers a variety of food you can choose from. The cost of a meal varies from $5 to $10 (for an average lunch). If you like to cook by yourself (like me :)), you can do grocery shopping at Rainbow Foods, Target, or Cub Foods. The costs information can be found on their website.
In short, choosing a college is like shopping in some ways. You have to know it very well before you make the final decision, including to ask "how much?". Hope this blog is useful for you and talk to you later. ;)
