Architecting Nanoscale Lattices

TsapatsisLattice2.jpgIPrime faculty Michael Tsapatsis and his colleagues have engineered nanoscale lattices that can save money and energy in industrial processes. The lattice pores come in different sizes in order to separate mixes of chemicals, and contain pores that act like a molecular sieve, allowing only molecules below a certain size--or even just certain forms of the same molecule--to pass.
