Last day to withdraw from a fall semester class is Nov. 2

Monday, Nov. 2 is the last day you can withdraw from a 2009 Fall Semester class without using your One-Time-Only Late Withdrawal or petitioning to withdraw due to extenuating circumstances. If you withdraw now, you will have a "W" on your record.

Engineering co-op program interviews are Oct. 27-30

The Engineering Co-op program will be holding on-campus interviews for co-op positions on Oct. 27-30. Last year more than 100 positions were available. Only mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer engineering students are eligible for this program.

All students are invited to hear a free public talk by space shuttle astronaut Fred Gregory on Friday, Oct. 23, 11:15 a.m.-12:05 p.m., Tate Laboratory of Physics, Van Vleck Auditorium. He will also present two Institute of Technology students with Astronaut Scholarship Foundation scholarships.

At 2 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 24, many important University information technology systems and applications will be unavailable for use, including e-mail, WebVista, and Moodle due to work on the systems by the University's Office of Information Technology (OIT). The Career Center for Science and Engineering offers walk-in hours Monday–Friday, 11 a.m.–1 p.m., Lind Hall, Room 50. Walk-ins typically last around 10 minutes and are great for quick questions and starting guidance.
