May Session 2013 CSE Global Seminar Information Meeting
Management of Technology in the Middle East (IBUS/MOT 4010)
Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012
2:30-3:30 p.m.
Tate Lab of Physics, Room 143
Presented by physics professor Marvin Marshak.
In 2013, Professor Marshak will lead a group of science, engineering, and business students on a seminar to Israel and Jordan to study technology development, research, start up companies, venture capital, and how politics and culture play a role in all of this in one of the most complex regions of the world.
The 2013 seminar will include site visits and guest lectures at universities, research centers, start-up companies, established companies, venture capital firms, and government agencies. This will be a true merger of technology and business. Expert guides will also include historical and cultural sites that any visitor to Israel and Jordan would want to see. If you have an interest in the past and future of the Middle East, you will not want to miss this incredible educational experience.
