Dec. 30 is deadline to apply for spring semester admission to your major

The CSE Admission to the Major database is accepting applications for spring semester admission into the major until the Dec. 30 deadline. In order to be eligible to apply, you must have completed or currently be enrolled in the required courses for your chosen major. Most CSE students apply while enrolled in sophomore level courses. If you are eligible, please apply immediately!

No drop-in academic advising during winter break

The College of Science and Engineering Office of Academic Advising will not hold drop-in hours over winter break. If you need to meet with an advisor, please call 612-624-2890 or stop into Lind Hall, Suite 105 to schedule an appointment. Drop-in advising will resume at the start of spring semester on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013.

If you are currently on academic probation, the CSE Office of Academic Advising will review your fall semester grades once they are posted. If you do not meet the terms of your probationary period, you will be notified via email by Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, that you will be suspended and will be dropped from any future classes for which you are registered.

One-Time-Only Late Withdrawal (OTO) deadline is Wednesday, Dec. 12

The last day to use your One-Time-Only (OTO) Late Withdrawal to withdraw from a course this semester is Wednesday, Dec. 12 and before you have taken the final exam. To use your OTO you must meet with an academic advisor during drop-in advising hours in Lind Hall, Suite 105. International students may need to take additional steps.

University Libraries will have extended hours during finals week and some will have longer hours during the final week of classes. Walter Library is open 24 hours a day from Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 8 a.m. through Thursday, Dec. 20 at 6 p.m.
