Take a study break!
During the last week of classes and finals, the Libraries will be offering numerous stress relieving breaks.
Walter Library will host a study break on Thursday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. in the Great Hall. Enjoy cookies, Sudoku, and more!
Magrath Library in partnership with the CSPH 5641 Animals in Healthcare course will be offering animal-assisted interactions in the atrium of the Learning and Environmental Sciences Building on Monday, Dec. 10, Tuesday, Dec. 11 and Wednesday, Dec. 12 from 10 a.m.-noon. Students, staff, and faculty can relax with a dog or chicken and learn more about the volunteer organizations. On Thursday, Dec. 13, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. coffee and tea will be offered and a "knit-in" is scheduled from 1-2 p.m. in the periodicals area. Drop by to learn to knit or bring projects to finish for holiday gifts. Also, check out some of our books and magazines with knitting patterns.
The Bio-Medical Library will hold a Finals Stress Buster on Monday, Dec. 17, and Wednesday, Dec. 19, on the second floor (tunnel level) of Diehl Hall. The schedule will include cookies and beverages from Noon-1 p.m., chair massages and hot chocolate from Boynton Health Service from Noon-2 p.m. Sign up at the Service Desk. And pet therapy with Gabe, a registered therapy dog, from 1-2 p.m. Also on display will be Harry Potter's World: Renaissance Magic, Science and Medicine.
