The American Public Power Association (APPA) offers grants and internships to support undergraduate and graduate students studying in energy-related disciplines. Each year APPA awards up to 10 student research grants and internships worth $4,000 each.
The next application deadline is Friday, Feb. 15, 2013.
Students must be sponsored by a Demonstration of Energy-Efficient Developments (DEED) program member utility and are required to write an abstract and final report at the completion of the project. Only students studying in energy-related disciplines from accredited colleges or universities in the U.S. or Canada are eligible for student research grants/internships.
