Gemini Project Workshop
Ten Types of Innovation: Multiple Ways to Change the Game and Win
Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013
4-5:30 p.m.
Walter Library, Room 101

Hosted by 3M.

No registration is required.

Is innovation always about developing better products and technologies? Is the R&D lab the only source of innovation within companies? While these are important sources of innovation, they are by no means the only ones. There are 10 different types of innovation that should be considered depending on a company's differentiation strategy and external industry and market trends.

This workshop will introduce you to the 10 types of innovation and help you understand when and how each form of innovation can help your company win. Join Kirk Froggatt (TLI Gemini Chair and former VP at EcoLab), Steve Webster (TLI Honeywell/Spencer Chair and former VP at 3M) and Mike Begich (Optimized Operations Manager at 3M) for a lively discussion and learn from the experience of these accomplished innovation leaders.

This workshop is part of a series of Gemini Project workshops designed to help you "jump start" your career as an innovation leader by broadening your mind set, expanding your tool set, and developing the "soft skills" and business acumen you will need to create your own "ripple effect" of success. All workshops are free.

The Gemini Project is made possible through a generous grant from the Gemini Endowment to the University of Minnesota College of Science and Engineering.
