Todya we travel by train from Vienna to Krakow. The day started very early, and we will have two train rides before we arrive in Krakow. We arrived in Krakow late afternoon, so had an early dinner and then wlaked around the Old Town. Professor Stolarski is a native of Poland, so we have a tour guide with us all the time!
Read more...We had a free morning this morning, so the students saw some of the city on our own. We visited the Hofburg palace, where Hitler once spoke to a crowd of Austrians over 75,000 strong! Today, it is mainly museums. Then we went back to the Schonbrunn palace to tour the palace gardens. In the afernoon we met up with the Professors and two local students for a tour of some of Vienna's parks and museums.
Read more...We spent the day focused on the technical aspect of our program. We were first given a lecture by Professor Habersack of the Vienna's Natural Resource University on programs being developed along the Danube east of Vienna. In the afternoon, we were able to tour the Freudenau hydroelectric power plant just outside of the city.
Read more...Today we travelled from Bratislava to Vienna. We first stopped at the Schonbrunn Palace. After checking into our hotel, we were given a short walking tour of the historical part of the city.
Read more...Today we took a boat tour to Devin to see an even more impressive castle. Some of us also visited Saint Martin's Cathedral.

Read more...Today was a free day for the students. Some of the activities included visiting Roman ruins, visiting the city's gorgeous central park, and guided tour of the city.
