Today was our last day before the competition. Which meant a late night for most who are fine tuning their robots to compete at its finest.

Read more...Today was quite a adventurous day to be sure. We awoke early in the morning to depart from Geneva for a short bus ride to the CERN particle collider (http://public.web.cern.ch/public/). It was a very interesting discussion lead by a retired professor that has worked there for 30 years.

Read more...Today was our first day with the switch of professors that are here on the trip. Dr. Kelso left to go back to America (just in time to see his daughters graduation from high school) and Dr. Erdman arrived not a moment too soon.
Dr. Erdman spent his time today getting to know all of us better and asked us questions about our robots. Things like how they worked, what we are worried about the most come competition time, and what we still needed to work on.

Read more...Our Monday was pretty busy getting down to business on our robots again, we say goodbye to Prof. Kelso today, as he is going home for his daughter's graduation, and say grüezi to Prof. Erdman and his family!

Read more...After a hard couple of days working on our robot project, we finally had a chance to relax and enjoy some time in Munich, Germany. There were many sites to see and not that much time, but we were able to take in some amazing sites on our first evening there.

Read more...Today we had frühstück (breakfast) in the cafeteria of the STF then it was off to the lab to work on our prototypes all day
So after a long first day we went to the RUAG Space Center to learn about how they use mechatronics in their day to day work. We were able to get some photos of the center (but not everything as there were restricted areas.)
And at the end of the tour we went straight to work on our robots!
