Graduate student balances education, research and family
Institute of Technology astrophysics graduate student Kristen McQuinn has found a way to balance part-time study in a demanding field with full-time work as mother of two young children. Her balancing act is working. During graduate school, a budding astrophysicist can reasonably expect to be the main author on perhaps two or three research papers.
