University of Minnesota students are putting the finishing touches on their solar-powered house to compete in the U.S. Department of Energy's Solar Decathlon in Washington, D.C. The University of Minnesota team is one of only 20 university teams from around the world that will reconstruct their house on the National Mall in October and participate in the competition. The solar houses will be open for public tours in Washington, D.C., from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 9-13 and Oct. 15-18. Read more>> |
