Centaurus Receives New License Plates

Centaurus is now officially registered with the Department of Motor Vehicles as an experimental vehicle. Keeping with the spirit of the project, the tags are the new environmentally friendly license plates issued by the State of Minnesota. Centaurus is the first vehicle in Minnesota to receive the new license plates, which will become available to the public July 1, 2008.

The environmentally friendly plates feature:
-- A solvent-free, thermal transfer process, eliminating the use of paints and solvents, making the production process cleaner and greener.
-- A harder, thinner and lighter-weight aluminum than previous plates, which reduces shipping costs.
-- Shipping from the production facility to Minnesota registrar offices around the state in polyurethane bags that are returned and reused by the state.
