Texas Weather

Late last evening, some thunderstorms began moving through the area. The worst passed significantly north of us, and several of our members had fun playing frisbee in the rain. The weather cleared up by nightfall, and we were treated to a spectacular sunset.

This morning, we were woken up in our tents by flashes of lightening and crashes of thunder. The tents we rented from the university's Center for Outdoor Exploration appear to be holding up fine, but the rain is certainly going to hinder the inspection process for the rest of the teams, as well as our final preparations for the track on Wednesday. Scattered thunderstorms are now predicted through Wednesday evening, so we're going to be double checking all of our waterproofing.

Good luck tomorrow. Hope the rain moves quickly toward Nebraska. We could use it up here.

Very good luck for tomorrow!!

Wow! It's been gorgeous here. Wish we could send you the sunshine. I'm so glad you were able to get through scrutineering on the first day. May tomorrow's race start be a successful one!
